There’s no denying the substantial impact Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has had on the WNBA and the significant amount of new eyeballs on the league because of her.

Clark is the story of the league, recording the second triple-double of her rookie season in Wednesday’s 93-86 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on the heels of being named WNBA Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month for August.

With Clark’s and the league’s popularity growing by the day, one user on X suggested that Clark’ silhouette should be used to redesign an updated version of the WNBA logo — a notion plenty of fans on social media got behind.

“They should change it —she brought the hype to the WNBA— we all know it,” one user said .

“They should they owe this girl the world. Made women’s basketball popular,” another commented .

“They should be doing this and building a statue of her outside of every stadium for what she has done for this league,” a third fan stated .

“It's coming. Or it could also be a behind-the-back pass,” suggested another fan .

“This is the best thing I've seen on Twitter in a month,” one user remarked .

Another X user even offered an alternative Clark-based logo design.

While it’s unlikely the WNBA would make such a drastic change based on a rookie — even one loved as feverishly as Clark — the league’s logo has undergone three redesigns since the league’s inception in 1997.

The first iteration featured the iconic red, white and blue shield with a player silhouette below the WNBA lettering, paying homage to the Jerry West NBA logo.

The second revamp came in 2013. Leaving the NBA copycat design behind, the WNBA opted for a vibrant orange logo with the silhouette of a player driving the basket for a layup.

The current logo, which the league started using in 2020, kept the orange color of the second logo, but put a bigger emphasis on the size of the WNBA lettering with an orange silhouette of an athletic player, who some say is Diana Taurasi, in the motion of taking a shot.
