The Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark proved they are a team to fear as the WNBA's postseason draws near. After defeating Los Angeles Sparks 93-86 on Wednesday night, the Fever are 7-1 since the Olympic break .

During the matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Clark, who became the first rookie to ever record a triple-double back in July, got her name written the league's history books. She scored 24 points with 10 assists and 10 rebounds against the Sparks -- marking her second career triple-double.

While Clark is famously reserved when it comes to celebrating her personal records, she could not hold back her true emotions when it came to the start of the 2024 NFL season. The Fever (18-16) have one night off before facing the Minnesota Lynx on September 6, and the timing couldn't be more perfect for the Rookie of the Year candidate.

The 22-year-old is pumped to see the Kansas City Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. While Clark recently noted that her favorite quarterback growing up was former Colts legend and Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, her favorite team is the Chiefs.

Clark shared the Chiefs' graphic ahead of the Week 1 showdown and wrote, "HUGE DAY!!!!!!!!!!"

When Clark isn't playing sports, she's usually watching sports. Months before she led the Iowa Hawkers to their second consecutive NCAA championship game and became the WNBA's No. 1 overall pick, Clark spent Christmas Day cheering on the Chiefs as they took on the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.

When asked if she got to meet Taylor Swift, who's dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Clark said no. “She’s a couple of tiers above my level,” Clark told reporters with a laugh.

The fandom is mutual, as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a huge supporter of Clark's game. “She’s one of the best college basketball players to ever play," Mahomes told reporters before the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers and became back-to back Super Bowl champs last season.

"(She will) go to the WNBA and dominate there, as well. Hopefully, I never have to play her 1-on-1 because she’ll for sure be getting buckets on me.”
