Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens were on the losing end of the NFL opener against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-20.

It was a thrilling game and Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely barely stepped out of bounds on what would've been a potential game-winning touchdown on the final play of regulation.

Jackson had a solid game, throwing for 273 yards with a score and rushing for another 122 yards despite the loss.

On Friday, September 6, Jackson was a big debate in the sports world, and ESPN's Ryan Clark had an interesting NBA comparison on "Get Up." The former Pittsburgh Steelers star compared Jackson to Russell Westbrook.

"Lamar Jackson right now is like Russell Westbrook," Clark said. "We watch Russell Westbrook throughout the regular season and even in the playoffs have these great statistical games, had these huge impact on what teams are doing. But you remember when he and Dame Lillard went head-to-head and it got emotional? He couldn't hit a shot."

Clark mentioned how Lillard hit the game-winner in that battle against Westbrook, and then went on to explain the difference between Jackson and Mahomes.

"That's the difference right now between Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes," Clark said. "He did so much last night. It's almost that you feel bad killing him about those two throws because of what he did, but that's the position."

With the Ravens trailing by a touchdown, Jackson helped lead them down the field. A 38-yard completion to Rashod Bateman got Baltimore into Chiefs territory with less than a minute left.

One of the throws that Jackson missed on was on 2nd-and-goal with 10 seconds remaining.

Zay Flowers was wide open, and Jackson threw behind him in what would've been the game-tying score.

In his career, the Ravens signal-caller has a pair of NFL MVP awards with plenty of other accolades, so there is no denying his talent. Still, Clark made the comparison of a defensive back playing well all game just to give up a deep ball in the two-minute drive.

Jackson and the Ravens will look to rebound in Week 2 at home against the Las Vegas Raiders on September 15.
