The Chicago Sky organization was struck with a wave of COVID-19 this past week starting with the diagnosis of star guard Chennedy Carter.

Sky practice was abruptly cancelled on Tuesday and Carter was ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Washington Mystics. Multiple players said they felt sick and several wore masks as a precautionary measure around team facilities.

Carter was the only player ruled out of the game due to illness.

During the debut episode of her new podcast — Unapologetically Angel — Angel Reese shared a surprising admission about the WNBA's current COVID-19 policy.

"If you feel sick you can obviously test on your own. But the CDC and the WNBA, they've agreed that even if you have COVID you can play," Reese said.

Some fans are concerned about the league's health and safety protocols.

"The CDC saying WNBA players can play with COVID is nutssss," one fan wrote.

"People on the wnba can still play with covid?? ain’t no way boy (also i’m genuinely enjoying this podcast so much)," another said.
