    Ex-Mavs’ Rajon Rondo Pleads Guilty

According to TMZ, Rajon Rondo pled guilty in an Indiana courtroom last Tuesday. The former Dallas Mavericks point guard hasn't experienced many bright moments since exiting the NBA. The case stems from a January arrest in which Indiana police found drug paraphernalia and a firearm in Rondo's car.

Carrying a firearm is legal in Indiana. However, the two-time NBA champion point guard is not prohibited from carrying a weapon due to a non-contact order, the second of its kind placed on Rondo.

In 2022, the four-time All-Star was accused of aiming a gun at his then-girlfriend's head, threatening her life. However, court documents show that the move was because Rondo and his accuser, Ashley Bachelor, "reached an agreement." No further details surrounding the pact were revealed.

Although the charges were dropped, the court still found Rondo not worthy of legally carrying a handgun.

In Indiana, unlawfully carrying a handgun is a misdemeanor. Although an Indiana judge sentenced Rondo to 180 days in jail, the case was suspended, ultimately leading to no jail time for the former NBA star. Instead, Rondo will serve probation.

Indiana law enforcement initially tried to stick Rondo with three charges, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, in addition to illegally carrying a handgun, but those charges have since dropped.
