Angel Reese Bodies WNBA All-Star During Sky-Sparks

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are currently competing against the Los Angeles Sparks at home, attempting to snap a seven-game losing streak.

During the game, early in the first quarter with nearly nine minutes left to play, Reese was on the post against three-time WNBA All-Star Dearica Hamby.

After she received the ball on the block, Reese put the ball on the floor and used a couple of power dribbles to get open under the basket.

The rookie bodied Hamby and got her in the air after with a clean pump fake. She scored Chicago's first points of the night with the bucket.

Reese has been making plays like this all season. The rookie is currently the only first-year player averaging a double-double and leads the WNBA in average rebounds.

The 6-foot-3 forward averaged 13.3 points and 13.2 rebounds heading into the game against the Sparks.

She's been the most consistent contributor on both ends of the floor for Chicago, starting in every game for the Sky this season.

Despite Reese's elite-level play throughout her rookie season, the Sky have struggled immensely.

Their seven-game losing streak after the WNBA's break in the season for the Summer Olympics places Chicago as No. 8 seed in the league standings. Before their matchup against the Sparks, they held an 11-22 record.

Chicago has a favorable chance to pick up a much-needed win against the Sparks at home. Reese and the Sky went into the locker room against L.A. with a 48-42 lead.
