The stars are out in Ann Arbor, Michigan with both “Big Noon Kickoff” and “College GameDay” in town for the 2024 college football season’s first top-10 matchup. The No. 10 Michigan Wolverines host the No. 3 Texas Longhorns in a matchup of two 2023 College Football Playoff participants.

Famous athletes Michael Phelps and Derek Jeter showed their pride for the Maize and Blue while famous film stars Matthew McConaughey and Will Ferrell dawned some burnt orange.

McConaughey couldn’t make it on the “Big Noon Kickoff” set at the same time as the MLB Hall of Famer, but that didn’t stop him from telling Jeter what he thinks of the Wolverines ahead of the game.

“Jeter I hope today is going to be a loooooong day for your Big Blue,” McConaughey said to Jeter in a video message that aired live on the show.

After watching the video, Jeter joked with the crew saying, “He doesn’t know, and Charles [Woodson] has a little pull here, we rerouted his plane and had it circle a few times before he got here. There’s too many Texas fans here.”

McConaughey finally made his way to the field and received a nose-to-nose greeting with Woodson as both icons wielded their respective team’s flag moments before kickoff.

The Longhorns come into the Big House as 6.5-point favorites, while the Wolverines look to make a statement following the end of the Jim Harbaugh era.
