Breanna Stewart Makes Big Announcement Ahead Of Sunday Showdown Vs. A'ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces

The New York Liberty are preparing to take on WNBA star and Team USA gold medalist A'ja Wilson on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET in the Big Apple.

With expectations for the game reaching a fever pitch, Liberty star Breanna Stewart took to social media on Friday to make a major announcement aimed at her biggest fans.

The 6-foot-4, 170 pound forward has become one of the most recognizable names in the WNBA, and now she's teaming up with one of the most famous fiction book and movie franchises for the launch of her new sneaker.

Stewart, a self-proclaimed Harry Potter aficionado, posed in front of a Gryffindoor style banner from the Harry Potter movie series emblazoned with the acronym 'MVP' and a picture of her shooting a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar style skyhook as she posed in a leather chair for her new HP inspired shoe drop.

The shoes' titled 'Stewie 3 Harry Potter,' were revealed by the official Puma Instagram account on the same day.

The Stewart sneaker drop was also accompanied by scenes from a party with her wife Marta Xargay Casademont, a former professional basketball player and Olympic silver medalist with the Spanish national team.

The shoes were released on Friday and retail for $130.
