Arch Manning Was the Talk of College Football After Texas-Michigan

The No. 3 Texas Longhorns went into Ann Arbor as 6.5-point favorites against the No. 10 Michigan Wolverines but left with a 31-12 statement win.

After Texas went up by a score of 7-0 in the first quarter, the Wolverines added a field goal early in the second quarter. The Longhorns then scored 17 unanswered points in the second quarter, and led by as many as 25 points down the stretch.

However, Michigan scored a late touchdown that cut the lead to 19. A score that resulted in starting quarterback Quinn Ewers returning back on the field to run the clock out. This decision led to countless posts from disgruntled college football fans who wanted another glimpse of former five-star Arch Manning.

"Texas was up 31-6 to start the 4th qtr, and Arch Manning still didn't get any snaps," wrote one fan.

"WE WANTED ARCH MANNING," said another furious fan.

"All this mid QB play across the Nation & Arch Manning is on the Bench. Blasphemy," added another.

It's no surprise that fans wanted another dose of Manning. The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning shined in Texas' 52-0 win over Colorado State in Week 1. He finished the game completing 5-of-6 passes for 95 yards while adding a touchdown through the air and on the ground.

It also would have been interesting to see the reception he'd receive from Michigan fans after it was rumored his dad flew Texas flags at a hotel near the Michigan campus.

Fans will need to wait and see if the Longhorns can establish a sufficient lead against UTSA in Week 3 to give Manning a chance to get some run.
