Memphis Tigers Go Viral For Celebrating Touchdown With NBA Superstar

The Memphis Tigers continued their hot start to the 2024 college football season on Saturday with a big 38-17 victory over the Troy Trojans, and they had some fun along the way.

Memphis carried a 21-7 lead into halftime, and they never looked back, as they received a huge performance on the ground from running back Mario Anderson (17 CAR, 125 YDS, 2 TD).

After he scored his second touchdown of the day, it's safe to say Anderson and the rest of the offense was fired up. That resulted in them going over to Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant, who was watching the game from behind the endzone, and celebrating with him.

Morant is one of the best players in the NBA, and given his ties to Memphis, he decided to pop out and show support for the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

And after they whalloped North Alabama 40-0 in Week 1, the good times continued for Memphis in their second contest of the season.

While Morant will eventually take the court again for the Grizzlies in the near future, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him attend another game before the new NBA campaign starts given how well the team fared with him in attendance for their win over Troy.
