Special teams ace Cordarrelle Patterson came to the Pittsburgh Steelers , following offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, in the offseason after spending the last three years with the Atlanta Falcons.

On Thursday, the news broke that Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson may not be available for Sunday’s game. On Friday’s episode of Good Morning Football , analyst Kyle Brandt believes it doesn't matter who the quarterback because it will be Patterson who will steals the show.

"You know who I can't wait to watch in this game? You know who's going to steal this game? Cordarrelle Patterson,” Brandt said. “Watch Cordarrelle Patterson. Now on the Steelers, formerly of the Falcons.

“Watch that dynamic kick return. When the news announced, they were going to do it, everybody was like, "Oh, Cordarrelle Patterson - and also - the Steelers got him like five seconds after the news came out.

“He's the best kick returner of this generation. Watch him steal this game, you heard it."

That’s certainly a bold prediction. But based on his history as a returner, it’s not as crazy as some might think. Patterson - big-bodied and fast - has been as dangerous as any kick returner in the league the last 11 years.

He has had three seasons of over 1,000 return yards and has taken nine back for touchdowns. He also averages 29 yards per return for his career.

His kick-return abilities will be on full display Sunday afternoon when the Steelers and Falcons lock horns.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
