The Los Angeles Chargers are gearing up for a new chapter under head coach Jim Harbaugh, and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is feeling the weight of expectations that come with this transition. Minter acknowledges the pressure that accompanies working alongside a coach known for his success and intensity.

Minter emphasizes that he holds himself to high standards and believes Harbaugh shares that mindset. The focus is on internal expectations rather than external noise, as both men aim to elevate the team's performance.

"There's nobody that puts more pressure on me than me," Minter told reporters on Thursday. "I don't really worry about that. I think coach [Harbaugh] is the same way. I don't think we let external factors or what people are saying or doing [affect us]. We have high expectations for ourselves and our groups and our units and our team. It'll be the first opportunity to show that."

Harbaugh is recognized for his ability to turn struggling teams into contenders. His commitment to football goes beyond a job; it’s a passion that drives him to invest everything into team building. Minter notes that Harbaugh's relentless dedication is evident in his approach to coaching.

"Some people have hobbies and different things to get their mind off things. Football is his job and his hobby," Minter said v ia the team's transcript . "Team building is his job and his hobby. He pours everything he has into that."
