LSU and Nicholls first half highlights

It’s halftime in Baton Rouge with the Tigers leading Nicholls 23-14 in a very competitive first half.

The Tigers are facing injuries in key positions, affecting players like Garrett Nussmeier, Jacobian Guillory, and Kyren Lacy. While none of them look to be serious, accumulating wear and tear in a game like this was certainly not what anyone wanted to see.

In the first half, LSU outgained Nicholls 206-152. Nicholls has been perfect passing. They are 9/9 including an 18 yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Quincy Brown to Lee Negrotto.

After a bad snap led to a safety and a 2-0 lead for the Tigers, LSU went on a seven play, 27 yard drive capped by a Garrett Nussmeir to Trey’Dez Green touchdown reception.

Nicholls would answer with a long touchdown drive of their own but, Garrett Nussmeier would find Kyren Lacy to extend the lead.

And later Nuss to freshman Ju’Juan Johnson for the touchdown.
