The second full week of the college football season is behind us after a busy day. It featured the Texas Longhorns making a statement against Michigan in Ann Arbor as well as Notre Dame shockingly losing to Northern Illinois in South Bend.

The Oregon Ducks barely defeated Boise State, and a total of six top-25 teams suffered defeats on Saturday.

After the games ended, college football analyst Joel Klatt revealed his new top 10 in a post on X.

    1a) Georgia

    1b) Ohio State

    1c) Texas

    4) Ole Miss

    5) Miami (FL)

    6) Tennessee

    7) USC

    8) Alabama

    9) Penn State

    10)Utah

Klatt also named a few teams in the "almost" category: Missouri, Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

It was a day full of surprising results, with Notre Dame's loss bumping them out of Klatt's list. After Week 1, Klatt had Notre Dame at #5 and Michigan at #9, so both teams dropped after their losses.

What's interesting is Klatt has three teams all with a top ranking: Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas.

Georgia defeated Tennessee Tech 48-3 and Ohio State topped Western Michigan 56-0. The Longhorns' win over Michigan was a big one as they left Ann Arbor with a 31-12 victory.

Both Miami (FL) and Ole Miss scored 50-plus points on Saturday and neither team gave up a touchdown, although they played Florida A&M and Middle Tennessee State, respectively.

Tennesse had a signature win by crushing top-25 team NC State 51-10 on the road, so that should help their case depending on how the Wolfpack do the rest of the way.

There are still a lot of games to be played, but this is where Joel Klatt stands at the end of Week 2.
