NFL Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Panthers QB Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young are picking up right up where they left off last season — which isn't a good thing.

Young was the No. 1 overall pick in 2023 but had a rough rookie year. He passed for 2,877 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, finishing with a quarterback rating of 73.7. Carolina finished a 2-15 record — the worst in the NFL.

The Panther gave up a treasure trove of assets to move up and grab Young. Carolina sent the Chicago Bears a pair of first-round picks (including No. 9 overall in 2023 and No. 1 this season), a pair of second-round picks and wide receiver DJ Moore for the No. 1 overall pick.

With a season under his belt, the hope in Carolina was that Young could start to show some of the potential that made him the top pick out of Alabama. However, he did none of that in the opener against the New Orleans Saints.

Young had just 17 yards late in the first half and his first pass of the season was an interception.

"I’m worried about Bryce Young," Ryen Russilo wrote on X .

He was finally able to get the Panthers on the board with a late drive to close out the half that resulted in a field goal.

"Some people waited 7 months for football to be back just to have Bryce young at qb LMAOO," one fan said .

He scored a rushing touchdown in the third quarter but also tossed another interception.

"Getting harder by the week to construct an argument that Bryce Young isn't just cheeks," said NFL analyst Sam Monson .

The Panthers were down big for most of the afternoon. New Orleans raced out to a 30-0 lead in the second quarter.

"You might see the Saints leading the Panthers 30-3 and assume Bryce Young has played bad, but in reality he's actually played terrible," said another fan .

Young finished his day completing just 13 of 30 passes for 161 yards and two interceptions. It could be a long season in Carolina as they figure out the future of the quarterback position.
