An Atlantic County woman is facing several counts of animal neglect after police say several dogs and cats were found dead inside a freezer in her home. Police say 57-year-old Nancy Santos, of Galloway, was arrested after Galloway Township Police Department Humane Law Enforcement Officers searched her home on the 300 block of Cresson Avenue. Authorities say the search warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation after police received reports of animals living in inhumane conditions. According to Galloway Township police, seven dogs and 29 cats were rescued from alleged inhumane conditions. Two adult dogs, one adult cat and four kittens were found deceased inside a freezer, police say. Santos was charged with 43 counts of animal neglect. She is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a future court date. "
