University of Alabama, Auburn University players selected in MLB draft

( WHNT ) — Major League Baseball’s 2024 Draft is entering its final rounds, and multiple players from the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers have already received the call to the pros.
News 19 compiled a list of the nine Alabama and Auburn players taken by Major League Baseball teams this week, and you can find them all below.
The University of Alabama

Ben Hess is a right-handed pitcher from Charleston, Illinois. He was drafted in the first round as the 26th overall pick by the New York Yankees

Gage Miller is an infielder from Palmyra, Pennsylvania. He was drafted in the third round as the 92nd overall pick by the Miami Marlins.
Greg Farone is a left-handed pitcher from Schenectady, New York. He was drafted in the seventh round as the 208th overall pick by the San Francisco Giants.

Ian Petrutz is an outfielder from Mantua, New Jersey. He was drafted in the twelfth round as the 351st overall pick by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Pierce George is a right-handed pitcher from Austin, Texas. He was drafted in the thirteenth round as the 379th overall pick by the Chicago White Sox.

TJ McCants is an outfielder and infielder from Cantonment, Florida. He was drafted in the sixteenth round as the 469th overall pick by the Chicago White Sox.

Carter Johnson is a University of Alabama shortstop signee who was drafted in the second round as the 56th overall pick by the Miami Marlins. He is from Oxford, Alabama.
