    1 killed in double shooting at Aurora apartment

    DENVER ( KDVR ) — One person died in a double shooting in Aurora early Friday morning.

    At 12:15 a.m., Aurora Police Department officers responded to the 12000 block of East 30th Avenue on reports of two people shot. The area is north of the Sand Creek Park.

    According to preliminary information from police, two unidentified suspects went inside an apartment and shot the two victims before fleeing. The victims, two adult men, were taken to a local hospital.

    Aurora police said one of the victims was pronounced dead and the other is still in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    This is an active investigation, and Aurora police have not released information on the suspects.
