More than 2,900 power outages in Aurora and Highlands Ranch impacted RTD services Wednesday morning, the agency reported just after 6 a.m.

North of Lincoln Avenue and S Quebec Street in Highlands Ranch saw one of the largest outages. In Aurora the biggest outage was along E Iliff Avenue, east of S Quebec Street.

"Due to loss of power, R-lines are not running and a bus shuttle is in place from Florida to Peoria," RTD said.

The R Lines are, however, running from Lincoln to Florida.

The R Line was already not running due to "track issues," before the power issue, Denver7 Traffic Expert Jayson Luber reported.

The 2nd Ave. and Abilene Station, Aurora Metro Center Station and Florida Station were all affected.

According to RTD, the northbound trains impacted were:
5:05 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
5:32 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
6:05 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
6:34 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
7:06 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
7:35 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station
8:05 am from Lincoln Station to Peoria Station

RTD said the southbound trains impacted were:
5:25 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station
5:50 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station
6:17 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station
6:47 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station
7:17 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station
7:47 am from Peoria Station to Lincoln Station

RTD crews expected to restore power by 9 a.m. Wednesday.
