AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Much of Central Texas remains under the gun for strong to severe thunderstorms Tuesday, ahead of a cold front expected to pass through the area overnight that will finally bring drier weather.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for the Austin metro until 11PM Tuesday...

Multiple rounds of strong to severe storms are likely as we move through the day on Tuesday. Earlier Tuesday morning, a severe storm near Marble Falls prompted a tornado warning to be issued for parts of Burnet and Williamson Counties; that storm weakened as it continued to move its way to the north.

Later Tuesday evening, into early Wednesday morning, an approaching cold front will move across the area, firing what is expected to be a final line of storms that are expected to cross the I-35 corridor during the overnight hours.

Any of the storms that develop during this period could turn severe quickly, including large hail, strong winds, and the risk of an isolated tornado.
