    Austin police identify victim of Riverside homicide; no arrests made

    Police identified the victim of a Southeast Austin homicide that occurred on July 18, the law enforcement agency said in a press release.

    A 911 caller said his friend, Jose Ramon Lizarraga Boca Negra, 39, had been shot inside an apartment at 2101 Burton Drive in the Riverside neighborhood at 2:01 a.m. Boca Negra died at the scene by the time police arrived, after suffering one gunshot wound, they said.

    No arrests have been made in connection with his death, and the police have not provided a description of the shooter.
