Taste your way around 50 local eateries at the Denver Food and Wine Festival .

Why it matters: Proceeds help fund apprenticeship programs for aspiring chefs, financial assistance programs for restaurant workers facing hardship and scholarships for students of hospitality and culinary arts.

What to expect: A cocktail and food truck competition , plus unlimited wine, spirit and beer samples at Saturday's Grand Tasting .

2. 🇰🇷 Taste of Korea

• Enjoy fare like Korean barbecue and bubble tea during this cultural celebration and night market 3–9pm Sunday at IYF Center . Free

3. 💎 Denver Gem Show

• This nine-day jewelry, mineral, fossil and gem exhibition at the National Western Complex will kick off with two nights of concerts , food trucks and a beer garden. Free

4.💄 All That Drag

• MCA Denver at the Holiday Theater is hosting a cabaret-themed variety show 8pm Saturday featuring burlesque, dancing and singing. Tickets are $25

5. 🎵 Coors Field concerts

• Head to the ballpark for a weekend of live music headlined by Kane Brown, LOCASH, Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins, Journey and Def Leppard. Details
