    Fall in Nashville could be hotter than normal

    Scorching temperatures have returned to Nashville this week after a brief respite, and new information from the National Weather Service suggests things could remain toastier than usual in the months ahead.


    State of play: Fall is likely to feature above-average temperatures across much of the country, according to the NWS' Climate Prediction Center.

    The big picture: It's not just us. Global temperature data suggests 2024 could be on track to become the world's warmest year on record.
