Bodycam video shows firefighters rescue Parker County man from burning mobile home
A Parker County man is hospitalized after video shows firefighters rescuing him from a burning mobile home. Emergency officials said it happened near 14000 Briar Road in Azle at about 9 a.m. on Saturday. Investigators said the victim, identified by neighbors as Tim Nicholson, was left with burns on more than 50 percent of his body.
Credit card skimmer found at Lake Worth business
LAKE WORTH, Texas — A credit card skimmer was discovered at Cash Saver in Lake Worth, prompting an investigation by local authorities. Officers were dispatched to the store yesterday to investigate a credit card reader that appeared to have been tampered with. Upon arrival, they found a skimming device installed on the reader, according to a press release from the Lake Worth Police Department. The device was removed, and detectives are working to identify those responsible. No other skimmers were found.

GRAPEVINE, Texas — A 62-year-old truck driver died Saturday morning in a crash on the highway near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, police said. Grapevine police said the crash happened at approximately 5:20 a.m. Saturday at the exit from northbound State Highway 121 to eastbound Interstate 635. According to police, the driver of the tractor trailer, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner as Luiz Carlos Camargo, of Plano, failed to make the curve at the exit and crashed into the guardrail on the left side of the road.

AZLE, Texas — A porch fire in Azle left a 55-year-old man with severe burns Saturday morning, according to the Briar-Reno Fire Department. At approximately 8:56 a.m. on July 6, 2024, the Briar-Reno Fire Department was dispatched to the 14000 block of Briar Road for a reported porch fire. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered heavy fire extension into the residence. During the fire attack, crews located an unconscious 55-year-old male inside the home and performed a rapid rescue.
