    Baltimore Orioles pitcher Corbin Burnes.

Thanks to Byron Buxton, we cashed another Look of the Day on Wednesday to improve to 9-1 in our last 10 picks. We don't plan on slowing down now, so let's keep this run going with our favorite MLB pick on Thursday's slate.

Look of the Day: Corbin Burnes over 18.5 outs recorded (+120 DraftKings )

Rangers at Orioles, 6:35 p.m. ET

Burnes has been a workhorse for the Baltimore Orioles all season, especially lately. The veteran right-hander has recorded at least 18 outs in 11 consecutive starts, and he's gone over this line in four of his last five.

Burnes is so effective at keeping his pitch count down because he forces a ton of weak contact. The 29-year-old ranks in the 94th percentile in hard-hit rate (30.4 percent) and the 91st percentile in xwOBA (.266). As long as he can pound the zone and avoid free passes, Burnes should be able to go deep in the game in this matchup.

The Texas Rangers are struggling mightily against right-handed pitching. The reigning World Series champs rank dead last in MLB in OPS, wRAA, wOBA and wRC+ against righties over the last two weeks. Texas also has the highest soft-hit rate in the league over that span.

The kicker here is the Rangers rank second in first-pitch swing rate and ninth in swing rate. Early swings + weak contact = quick outs for Burnes. We like his chances of reaching the seventh inning on Thursday.
