Crashes closed all southbound lanes of Maryland Route 295, also known as the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, in South Baltimore on Monday night.

Officers from the Maryland Transportation Authority Police responded to a crash in the southbound lanes of 295 near Westport Street shortly after 10:30 p.m., police said. Injuries from the crash were non-life-threatening, police said, and one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Another crash with two vehicles occurred at 11:26 p.m. as a tow truck and officers worked to clear the scene of the first crash. Police said a man in the second crash was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The pair of crashes, which were by the exit for Annapolis Road near the Westport and Cherry Hill neighborhoods, caused the closure of all three lanes and both shoulders Monday night, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

All lanes were reopened soon after 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to MTA Police.
