Concerns Mount Over Lamar Jackson's Availability After Latest Practice Absence

There seems to be a concerning trend that has been prevalent with Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson as of late.

Throughout his career, Jackson has missed a solid amount of time, both games and practices, due to illness, and that is continuing this week as training camp begins across the NFL.

On Wednesday, there was some positivity as Jackson showed up at practice for the first time this preseason after missing the first three days of training camp. However, the superstar QB and former league MVP lasted only an hour into practice before leaving because of the same illness that kept him sidelined the first few days.

Jackson has missed at least one practice in each of his seven NFL seasons due to being sick, so this isn't a new phenomenon for the Ravens, but one that has fans growing frustrated as time goes on.

Of course, missing a few practices in training camp is far less severe than missing time during the middle of the season,  but the fact that Jackson is continually being forced to the sideline for an illness of some sort is a bit troubling.

We will see how he fares throughout the 2024 season and if it continues to be an issue.
