Every season, we watch NFL players break out in a big way that they previously had not. Really, every team has one of those players each season. For the Baltimore Ravens in 2024, this player could come at an area where they need someone to step up.

Tight end Mark Andrews is the proven playmaker for the Ravens’ offense and hopes to be healthy this season and back to his normal self. Zay Flowers is slotted in to be a big part of the receiving game in his second season too, but it is another tight end that could step up and be that additional pass catcher that the offense needs .

Isaiah Likely had five touchdowns and 411 receiving yards last season but could see a leap in his numbers in 204 to take his game to a different level.

"I think Isaiah [Likely] is doing a really good job,” head coach John Harbaugh said on Monday. “He's a guy that understands how to fight through these kinds of days. His legs are little tired, [so he] focuses on technique, tries to lock in on his assignment, and he had a good day as a result. It's one of the things you try to get out of a day like this."

Likely is standing out in a big way early in training camp and is making plays at all levels of the field. The third-year player did not take a big leap from his rookie to second season, but the third season is shaping up to be where it happens.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson knows exactly how he can keep going and climbing the hill to become a more complete player and build their chemistry together.

"It's within plays; it's inside the locker room – we're talking about plays that went on on the field – telling him what I'm seeing from defenses and saying where I see he should be on the field – things like that,” explained Jackson. “Just talking about ball, talking ball, and playing games sometimes, too – that builds chemistry, and communication as well."

When he gets on the open field, Likely is an issue for defenses to bring down. His running ability at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds puts a lot of pressure on the opposing team and it sure sounds like the Ravens plan on getting him the ball a lot more this season.
