Tips on growing mint in your garden
All mints are part of the mint family, but not all are mints. Common names can be quite confusing. The mint family is lamiaceae. Mints are the genus mentha, which is only a part of lamiaceae. Therefore, plants like sage and rosemary are part of the mint family, but not...

“We all scream for ice cream” or Sundaes for Stained Glass
Summer brings with it all the special things we enjoy. One of the treats Summer brings is the musical sound of the ice cream truck approaching. It brings back memories of running out to the truck to flag the driver down so we could select a yummy treat. It also reminds me of the Ice Cream Socials that were held, where fresh strawberries adorned homemade vanilla ice cream. Our family began a tradition several years ago to welcome the summer solstice with ice cream sundaes. Most years, we have supported local businesses, but once created a sundae “bar’ and invited friends and family to join us. Although that event has passed, we would like to invite you to join us for another special event that includes ice cream!
