TRENTON- A local resident is faced with an accusation stemming from an alleged domestic dispute Monday in Oneida County, authorities say. Karyona L. Cittadino, 28, of Barneveld, NY was arrested Monday morning by the New York State Police (Remsen). Cittadino is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

Update 6:14pm: Governor Hochul says she has deployed the NYS Police and other agencies to help in Oneida County. As the heat index rose and the potential for storms grew, a tornado has been confirmed in Rome, NY - just north of Utica. Photos from the scene show a church with its roof and steeple torn off, numerous downed trees and power lines, overturned vehicles - even a B-52 bomber on display at the Air Force base was moved by the strong winds.
Update: Tornado warning for Oneida County early Tuesday evening
On Tuesday at 3:42 p.m. an updated tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 4 p.m. for Oneida County. "At 3:27 p.m., a confirmed tornado was near Rome, moving east at 35 mph," states the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."

The Utica University women's ice hockey team will join three other teams in Wesley Chapel, Florida for the first Sunshine Hockey Classic on November 29 & 30.
