Skip Bayless' undying love for the Dallas Cowboys is well-documented. So, when he states that he enjoys watching Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark more than his beloved NFL team, it catches people off guard.

Despite being a rookie, Clark has quickly become one of the most exciting and dominant players in the WNBA, showcasing her talent and skills on the court night after night. Her high-scoring performances and flair have made her a must-watch player in the league. Additionally, Caitlin elevated the Fever back into playoff contention after finishing near the bottom last season.

    High-risk, high-reward type of player

Whereas the WNBA had difficulty drawing crowds before, that is all now a thing of the past, especially when it comes to games that feature the Fever. Tickets to watch Caitlin play have been selling out quickly, and her popularity has skyrocketed among fans primarily because of her entertaining style of play.

"It's all about Caitlin Clark because she entertains us in ways we have not been entertained before watching women's basketball," Skip said .

A 6-foot guard with slick handles and a threat to shoot the moment she crosses the halfcourt line, Caitlin has captivated audiences with her dynamic play. She has proven to be a scoring machine, ranking among the league leaders in points per game and breaking multiple records.

While Clark isn't flawless, especially when committing turnovers, Bayless said he's more than willing to disregard those miscues in favor of being entertained.

"I'm seeing Caitlin Clark emerge as an extraordinary professional basketball player—highest risk, highest reward. I'm actually okay with those record-shattering turnovers. I'm actually okay with the logo threes that so often miss. I'm so okay with Caitlin Clark now that I must tell you I look more forward to watching the Indiana Fever than I do my Dallas Cowboys," the veteran broadcaster added.

    Showing more pizzazz

Besides showcasing her skills, Skip also noted how refreshing it is to see the former Iowa superstar show off her true personality.

In Indiana's 17-point win against the Seattle Storm, a game in which Caitlin dropped 23 points and nine assists, she showed her edge by yapping at her defenders, which Bayless believes is an essential element of being a star player.

"Does Caitlyn have a little attitude? Yeah, she's starting to flash it more and more because you need an attitude if you're going to be the best. You need some edge if you're going to be the best. So Caitlin, the other day, got a technical—I applauded the technical. I'd like to see an occasional technical from her because I need her to play with that much edge, that much style, that much swagger, that much attitude," Bayless concluded.

With the WNBA season winding down and the playoffs looming, Caitlin has emerged as a fast-rising superstar. It didn't take long for her to get used to the pro game, resulting in some spectacular and record-breaking performances.
