Investigation into suspected Lockport meth dealer leads to multiple arrests
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office announced this week that an investigation into a local meth dealer has led authorities to four arrests. Sheriff Craig Webre said that an investigation into Mitchell Folse, 45, led narcotics agents to obtain arrest warrants and a search warrant for his residence on Mar Drive. On July 11, 2024, narcotics agents located Folse and took him into custody. Agents then proceeded to the Mar Drive residence to conduct a search with assistance from LPSO patrol deputies and detectives, as well as the Lockport Police Department.
Grandmother of 4-year-old found dead in lake organizes fundraiser for funeral expenses
The paternal grandmother of the four-year-old found dead in water outside the Vinton Welcome Center has created a fundraiser for the boy's funeral expenses. "I am creating this GoFundMe to prepare a funeral for my grandson. He has been in our care for the past few months due to the neglect and abuse of his mother," Dion Polk, paternal grandmother of 4-year-old Legend Jack, whose body was found July 8.
