No, there might not be a Jayden Daniels around now, but the offense will still be more than fine. It won’t be as devastating, but behind this great line it should be effective.

No, the defense won’t be a killer, but there are too many talented parts to continue to be so bad.

And no, there’s no game on this slate LSU can’t beat.

It’s not one of the program’s better teams, and there are still plenty of things that need to be worked on, but come on - it’s LSU. It’s going to be good.

Last year the Tigers had to go Ole Miss, and they lost that tackling-optional firefight thriller. They had to go to Alabama, and the couldn’t pull off the win. Both the Rebels and Crimson Tide have to come to Baton Rouge, and so does Oklahoma.

There’s no Texas to deal with, there’s no Tennessee to worry about, and there’s no Missouri, who comes back even better this season.

Oh yeah, and there’s no Georgia on the 2024 LSU football schedule.

Going to Texas A&M and Florida will be dangerous, and never assume anything on the road in the SEC - South Carolina and Arkansas aren’t layups - but again, everything is winnable.

LSU has won nine regular season games in each of the last two seasons. It will likely take ten to get into the expanded College Football Playoff, and with three of the four November games at home, the opportunity will be there.
