LSU Tigers women's basketball star Flau'jae Johnson recently spoke on her new podcast, Best of Both Worlds, revealing her honest opinion on Caitlin Clark's Team USA snub.

The rookie out of Iowa has led all first-year players in points and assists, averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game in the first 25 games of the 2024 WNBA regular season.

She's brought tremendous viewership to the league while posting quality numbers in her first season, but the Team USA committee left her off the 12-team lineup.

Johnson attempted to paint a picture of Team USA's controversial decision to snub Clark.

"How would you feel if I was on Team USA and I had worked all of these years, did all of these trials, did all of these things, and went through all of these cuts?" Johnson said. "And then this girl comes, right? She ain't do not a practice, not a nothing, and we in this in there practicing together. Did all of that; she just come, she just take my spot, because she is lit right now. How would you feel?"

Johnson is joined by her mother, Kia Brooks, on the "Best of Both Worlds" podcast. In the latest episode, the LSU guard went into detail about Clark's absence from the USA team.

"But also, I think momma, like, she's only a rookie. She has time to grow, I believe. And in the next four years, she said, it'd give her something to chase," Johnson continued.

Team USA's first match, which will serve as an exhibition game, will be on July 20 against Team WNBA at the All-Star game.

Clark and Johnson may be on the next Olympic roster if they can continue to dominate women's basketball.

During her sophomore season with the Tigers, Johnson averaged 14.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. She's currently competing at the collegiate level, set to graduate from LSU in 2026, and potentially pursue a WNBA career

She's heading into a larger role as an upperclassman in the 2024–25 season. All eyes will be on Johnson as she takes on the leadership duties that Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese once carried.
