Amber Alert deactivated after 14-day-old infant from Vallejo found
VALLEJO -- An Amber Alert that was issued on Saturday for a 14-day-old baby was canceled after the baby, Braxton, was found, unharmed, with his mother.The California Highway Patrol issued the alert at 7:43 a.m. on behalf of the Vallejo Police Department. The case was being investigated as a possible parental abduction.The alert was issued after Solano County Child Protective Services was unable to locate the baby or his mother, Valerie Manning.The case is still being investigated by the Vallejo Police Department. A spokesperson for the department was unable to confirm if Valerie Manning was in custody.
Arson Suspected in Fire at Antioch Ice Cream Shop
On Friday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to an ice cream shop that caught fire in the City of Antioch. At 6:22 am, CONFIRE received a report of smoke and flames coming from La michoacana Plus, an ice cream shop, at the corner of A St and E 18th. It was reported that prior to firefighter arrival, a window was broken.

Man arrested after Canesa deli owner stabbed outside Clayton shop
CLAYTON, CA (June 29, 2024) – John Canesa is recovering after being stabbed outside of his downtown deli about 1 p.m. June 25. According to his wife Priscilla, Canesa was stabbed six times outside Canesa’s Brooklyn Heroes in the Town Center at Oak and Main St. When police arrived, they arrested 45-year-old Peter Kerns of Concord. Emergency services transported a lucid Canesa to John Muir Medical Center.
