    Orange man one of two killed in motorcycle crash, police say

    BEAUMONT — Two people were killed, including a local man, following a one-vehicle motorcycle crash on the morning of March 9, authorities said.

    Beaumont Police Department officers responded to the 400 block of South 4th Street in Beaumont at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in reference to a motorcycle crash.

    Responding officers located two deceased individuals in a parking lot.

    The preliminary investigation revealed a motorcycle was traveling north on 4th street at a high rate of speed.

    Police said the operator lost control and struck the curb in the 500 block of South 4 th Street, then struck a fence in the 400 block of South 4th, ejecting the operator and a passenger.

    The victims were identified as Devin Moore, 26-year-old from Orange, and Shanice Richards, 28-year-old from Beaumont.
