Fox Lake Wis. man arrested in Madison following Vernon County bank fraud investigation
WESTBY, Wis. – Friday evening the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement asking the public’s help in locating a man they believed was responsible for cashing fraudulent checks at area banks and businesses. The Sheriff’s Office said early Thursday afternoon, July 25, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report that a man cashed a fraudulent check at a financial institution in the city of Westby, approximately two hours earlier.
