A Beaverton man was recently indicted for multiple crimes after allegedly robbing a car and holding the owner at swordpoint.

Shortly after 3 a.m. June 24, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft near 20925 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway, where Plaid Pantry is located, according to a press release.

A witness saw a man enter the witness' parked vehicle, and when confronted, the man drew a sword and threatened the witness. The man then fled the scene before police arrived.

Sheriff's K-9 Maize and handler Sgt. Justin Pelleteri were called to track the suspect. The duo located 26-year-old Andrew Grayson of Beaverton in approximately 10 minutes, according to the release. The sword was also found nearby.

Grayson was arrested and brought to the Washington County jail, and on July 19, a grand jury indicted him for two counts of first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. He has since pleaded not guilty to all charges.
