Bedford teen Leah Shackley was formally invited to swim at the Junior Pan Pacific, the second major international meet of the 17-year-old’s career.

The meet is August 21-24 in Canberra, Australia.

The Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships is a biannual international swim meet for under-18 athletes from Pacific countries including the United States, Australia and Japan. This is the first the event has been hosted by Australia.

Leah will swim in the 100m and 200m backstroke, and 100m butterfly events plus relays.
