Vandalia Man Facing Charge Of Aggravated Battery To Police Officer In Fayette County Court
A Vandalia man is facing a Felony charge of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer in Fayette County Court. 25 year old Byeron Sullivan is facing the charge, which is a Class 2 Felony. Information on the charge states that Sullivan is alleged to have had physical contact with a Police Officer. Information states Sullivan is alleged to have resisted and fled from the Officer, which is allegedly led to the Officer receiving a bloody nose.
Ramsey Man Dies In One Vehicle Accident On Friday Morning In Shelby County
A Ramsey man died in a one vehicle accident on Friday morning in Shelby County. Information from the Illinois State Police states the accident occurred on Friday morning at 12:52 am on U.S. Route 51 just south of County Road 400 North in Shelby County. Preliminary information say that State Police responded to the accident. State Police say the vehicle being driven by 33 year old Noah Belcher of Ramsey was traveling north on Route 51. State Police say, for unknown reasons, Belcher’s vehicle left the roadway to the right, then crossed the road to the left and ran off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a culvert and rolled over multiple times.
Brownstown woman facing multiple charges in Fayette County Court
A Brownstown woman is facing multiple charges in Fayette County Court. 50 year old Brenda Rutherford of Brownstown is facing charges allegedly involving the possession of a weapon. Rutherford is charged with Armed Violence, which is a Class X Felony. Information on the charge states that Rutherford is alleged to have had a handgun while also allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine. Rutherford also faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child, both of which are Class A Misdemeanors.
