Alliance man dies, woman in critical condition after being struck by train in Sebring
Troopers from the Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal train-versus-pedestrian crash early Monday morning. The crash occurred at 1:59 a.m. on the Norfolk Southern line near Pennsylvania Avenue between the cross streets of 16th and 17th streets in the village of Sebring in southwest Mahoning County.
Fire destroys Brush Rd. barn
Two days after fire destroyed a 40×100-feet barn used to store hay and straw, smoke continued to escape from bales of hay exposed when the structure collapsed. Augusta Volunteer Fire Department Chief Charles Wright said his department was toned June 12 at 8:50 p.m. for a fully involved structure fire at 1235 Brush Rd., Minerva.
Card skimmer found at local grocery store: Report
The manager of the store called just around 6:30 p.m. Monday to report the incident, handing over a black plastic keypad cover that was found attached to the credit card processing terminal. A police report redacted the name of the store, but the address was listed at 4121 South Ave.
