Endwell Man Charged After Drugs, Guns Found in Binghamton Apartment
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says an Endwell man is charged after search warrants were executed in Binghamton and the Town of Union. According to the Task Force, the first warrant was executed Wednesday at 341 Main Street, Apartment 3RE in Binghamton. A .22-caliber revolver, a 9mm handgun, a high-capacity 9mm magazine, approximately 5.2 ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine, over $5,500 in suspected drug proceeds, and other paraphernalia were all found. An additional search warrant was executed in the Town of Union, where an additional approximate $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds was found.

Cadets graduate from Vestal Youth Police Academy
45 high schoolers and 74 middle schoolers participated in this year's program. Not all of them with the goal to be in law enforcement. "It's important to note that a lot of them that came into the program didn't have any interest and because of their experiences with these with these SROs and this fantastic team that we've assembled, you know, there was a shift at some point," said Vestal Chief of Police Stace Kintner.

41 year old Willis Bickham Jr, of Binghamton, was found guilty of 1st Degree Rape, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child by a Broome County Jury Thursday. On June 24, 2023, Bickham Jr. took a 12-year-old child into an apartment at 2 Green Street in Binghamton and engaged in sexual acts. Sentencing is scheduled for October 24, 2024 where Bickham is facing up to 25 years in State Prison followed by 10 to 25 years of post-release supervision, and he must register as a Sex Offender with the state. Due to his criminal history, the Broome County District Attorney’s Office will pursue a sentence of 25 years to life under the Persistent Felony Offender guidelines.
