Rebels volleyball improves to 17-2
Champlin Park volleyball picked up its 11th consecutive win across all competitions last week at Centennial. The win over their fellow Northwest Suburban A team improved Champlin Park’s conference record to 5-0, 17-2 overall. A 26-24 set one win for Centennial started the night on a tough note, but Champlin Park reacted quickly, picking up dominant 25-16 and 25-6 wins in sets two and three. Wiggles is a neutered, 2-year-old medium mixed breed who loves to show guests his favorite blankie (see GIF below)! He's a big softie who loves affection and cuddles. He's taken treats very gently. Two St. Cloud State University professors helped the Netflix documentary “Our Living World” capture amphibians' ability to glow green with biofluorescence. Professors Matt Davis, Ph.D., and Jen Lamb, Ph.D., helped the Netflix producers determine how to best capture the animals and share the importance of the animal’s ability. Rogers approves $15.3M preliminary levy for 2025, up 13%
The Rogers City Council has adopted and certified a $15.335 million proposed levy for 2025, an increase of 13% from 2024. The final levy adopted by the City Council in December may be lower than the preliminary levy certified in September, but it cannot be higher. Champlin Park boys soccer concluded the regular season with two conference games last week, losing one to Osseo before beating Coon Rapids to adjust their conference record to 7-4-2, 7-5-3 overall. Pirates soccer teams end regular season well
Both Park Center soccer teams ended their regular seasons last week with a win and a loss ahead of the 2024 section tournament. Boys Park Center opened last week with a 2-0 win over Coon Rapids on Sept. 30, extending their recent unbeaten run to five conference games.
