ABILENE, Texas ( BCH Sports ) – The Key City’s finest team needs your support more than ever.

The Abilene Flying Bison host the inaugural Mid-America League playoffs on Tuesday, August 13th, and these dapper ballplayers are more excited than a hog in a mud field.

Bison Outfielder Jack Cue said, “Oh, man, I’m so excited, man. It’s the first Bison playoff that we’re going to have, and we have such a good crowd. It’s going to be a great time. We have some good competition around the league, but I got all the confidence that we got the right guys here.

Bison Manager Cam Vega said, “It’s really exciting to get near the end, but also understand that you get to play at your home field, so that’s exciting as well.

The top four seeds compete in a one-match semifinal that sets up the title game.

Normally, both rounds are determined by a series, but these young men must return to their universites for athletics and educational prowess.

Cue continued, “You know, it’s been a grind playing 60 something games this summer. And, uh, it kind of just tore down the process a little quicker for us. And, you know, single game is just a little better than the series because it’s just going to be a quicker process for us to get back and get ready for the fall.”

And no matter what, these gentlemen will sharpen those cleats, choke up on their bats and give it all they’ve got.

Vega responded, “You know, baseball is a game where there are series for a reason. You know, teams get hot, teams get cold. You know, you can use that as an excuse or not, but I know we’re gonna line up our best nine. Whoever we play is gonna line up their best nine, and we’re gonna go at it and we’re gonna see who comes out on top.”

If that makes you want to run through a brick wall, come on down to Walt Driggers Field and give these guys your best home field advantage.
