Vero Sandler on Creating Opportunities and Freeride's Future

Vero Sandler began her career racing downhill and reached the World Cup level, but quickly realized that while she loved riding, racing was ruining the experience, and a change needed to be made. Leaving the race track behind and falling in love with building jumps, turns, and practicing repetitiously on sections of trail, allowed her to progress her skills fast and emerge as a leader in freeride mountain biking. Vero is an advocate for positivity and keeping things fun, while also pushing for growth and making the sport better for everyone.

From collaborations with the Revolution Bike Park to progressive big-air events like “The Nines” and Darkfest, Vero has been a leader in women’s freeride, crushing it, shifting perspectives, and setting the stage for future generations. Vero has been an inspirational creative for so many riders, and this video dives into her impact on the sport. From learning how to scratch trail into the hillside to sitting in the driver's seat of massive excavators, Vero has crafted the life she wants to live in a truly beautiful way.
