BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Olum’s of Binghamton recently held a fundraiser in support of a local veteran’s organization.

In honor of Memorial Day, Olum’s invited vendors, customer and employers to sponsor their Bedding Merchandiser Mark Cooke as he walked to work from Owego. In total, Cooke walked 16 miles to the store’s Vestal location.

From the event, Olum’s was able to raise over $6,558 for Clear Path for Veterans.

On July 11, Cooke presented the check to Clear Path’s Outreach Manager, Katina Sinclair, at one of their Canteen Lunches for Veterans.

“For 110 years, Olum’s has shown our commitment to the communities that we serve, and we are proud to support such a worthy cause,” said Olum’s President Andrea Livingston.

Since 2011, Clear Path for Veterans has offered various programs and services to help veterans, service members, and families with their wellness and fulfillment.
