READING, Pa. – The issue of traffic-calming was back on the agenda for Reading City Council's Committee of the Whole meeting Monday. Reading Public Works Director Timothy Krall reported to council about the status of the project. Update: Flash flood warning affecting Chester County until Sunday evening
On Sunday at 3:36 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 7 p.m. for Chester County. "At 3:36 p.m., Doppler radar indicated the strongest thunderstorms producing heavy rain have shifted south and east of the warned area, however some additional showers continue. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," says the weather service.
