BISMARCK, N.D. ( KXNET ) — A bar north of Bismarck has until the end of the month to operate with a liquor license. County Commissioners met Monday, June 17th, in Burleigh. There, they discussed Crossroads Tavern Bar and Grill.

In a special meeting in May, County Commissioners voted to reject the liquor license renewal. The rejection comes after years of problems at the establishment. some problems regarding the owners, Jake and Jocelyn Miller.

In recent months, there have been arrests made for drug trafficking in the bar’s parking lot. On Monday night, Jocelyn Miller asked that county leaders make an appeal to their June 3rd decision to reject.

They denied her appeal to the rejection since the bar has still had problems since that decision in the beginning of June.

The morning of June 16th, at around 1:46 in the morning, sheriff’s deputies in Bismarck responded to a ‘shots fired’ call at the Crossroads Tavern Bar.

“When they presented tonight, they didn’t even bring up the gunshots again. What has happened in the meantime, it’s gotten worse again. So, patience is wearing very thin, and I think everybody is seeing that,” said Steve Schwab, a Burleigh County Commissioner.

The owners of crossroads have until the end of this month to operate under their current liquor license.
