    Bloomfield teen among 2 arrested in house party homicide

    BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A teenager was taken into custody after he shot and killed a man at a house party Saturday night in Bloomfield.

    At 7:40 p.m. the Bloomfield Police Department responded to a residence on 5 Evan Ln. for a reported shooting. Once at the scene, police located a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the neck. Officials quickly began CPR, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

    The shooter is a 17-year-old Bloomfield resident who was taken into custody.

    Police investigation determined that a house party was taking place when the victim and suspect got into a fight. That is when the teen revealed a gun and proceeded to shoot the victim in the neck.

    The gun was found at the scene, but a 60-year-old Hartford woman was arrested for tampering with evidence while investigators were searching for it.

    Bloomfield’s Detective Unit continues to investigate this homicide.
