London Rhythm & Rib Fest set for Aug. 2-3
The London Community Organization is gearing up for their annual Rhythm & Rib Fest, set to take place 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Aug. 2-3. Admission is free. Food, bands, and other activities are on the schedule. The action takes place on Main Street between High and First streets and on Second Street between Union and Oak streets.

Several developments discussed at economic strategies meeting
WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — At the city Economic Strategies and Cooperation meeting Wednesday, it was reported that Jason Langley has been doing a good job in the rehab of the old Rolfe Building at 244 E. Court St. Economic Development Director Chelsie Baker reported that Langley will be moving his real estate business into one side of the building and will rent out the other side. The building will also have several apartments upstairs.
WCH finance director: City finances in ‘good shape’
WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — During the city’s finance and personnel committee meeting, finance director Ron Sockman said the city finances are in good shape at this time. Investment yields are predicted to rise from $1.8 million to $2 million by August 2025. Investments include things like mutual funds, bonds and CDs. A $1.2 million payment was just made on the waste water treatment facility upgrade.
